The AMNN National Conference 2026 brings together aviation museum professionals, volunteers and heritage leaders from across Australia to share knowledge, strengthen networks and explore the future of aviation heritage. Attendance at the conference is open only to AMNN member organisations and their representatives, individual members and invited guests.
As aviation museums continue to evolve in response to changing visitor expectations, new technologies and preservation challenges, the conference will provide an opportunity to explore practical approaches to collection care, volunteer sustainability, storytelling and museum development.
Hosted at the Aviation Heritage Museum (RAAFA) in Bull Creek, Western Australia, the conference will feature presentations, discussions and networking opportunities designed to support the ongoing development of volunteer aviation museums and heritage organisations.
Register for the Conference
Registrations are now open for the AMNN National Conference 2026.
To assist delegates with travel planning, registrations may be submitted now with payment to follow. An invoice for the conference fee will be issued closer to the event.
A conference participation fee of $50 applies to all attendees, except invited speakers or invited guests. Partners or guests are welcome to attend the conference dinner and must complete a separate registration form.
Member organisations may nominate any number of representatives to attend the conference. The host museum may also have volunteers in attendance, subject to available seating and venue capacity.
Registrations will close in July 2026. All registration details, including conference dinner attendance, must be completed at the time of registration.
Payment is not required at the time of registration.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of Australian Aviation Museums Network Ltd will be held on Sunday 18 October 2026.
Representatives of AMNN member organisations may participate and vote in accordance with the Constitution.
Conference delegates who are not members may attend the meeting as invited observers with speaking rights granted at the discretion of the Chair.

When will registrations close?

Perth Airport is serviced by several domestic and international airlines, including Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar.
Delegates travelling from interstate should plan their flights to Perth Airport, which is approximately a 20-minute drive from the Aviation Heritage Museum in Bull Creek.

There are several accommodation options within a short drive of the Aviation Heritage Museum. Further information and recommended accommodation options will be provided closer to the conference.
How do I get to the Conference venue?
The Aviation Heritage Museum is located in Bull Creek, Western Australia, approximately 15 minutes south of Perth. The venue is accessible by car and public transport. Further travel information will be provided prior to the conference.
Will there be a conference dinner?
Yes. A conference dinner will be arranged for Saturday evening.

Yes. Partners are welcome to attend the conference dinner.

Is morning and afternoon tea provided?
Yes. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided during the conference sessions at no additional cost. These breaks also provide a valuable opportunity for delegates to network with colleagues from across the aviation museum sector.
When will the conference agenda be available?
A draft conference agenda will be released closer to the event once presentations and speakers are confirmed.
Delegates will be kept informed as the program develops and will receive updates when the agenda is available.
Is there any funding available to support travel or accommodation costs?
The AMNN Board has explored whether grant funding could be secured to assist member organisations with travel and accommodation costs for the 2026 Conference. At this stage there are no national grant programs specifically supporting interstate travel for conference attendance.
Individual museums are encouraged to explore their own local or state-based funding opportunities, such as community grants, local council programs, or support from local banks and community organisations.
What should I bring to the conference?
You will be advised closer to the conference if any specific materials are required. Delegates may wish to bring paper and pens for note-taking, a laptop if preferred, and business cards for networking.
